£80,000-A-Week Star Confirms Manchester United Deal, January Move Possible
Barely few weeks after the closure of the summer transfer window, Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris has opened up on his proposed summer move from Tottenham to Manchester United. The 28 year old has maintained strong claims that he is very happy at Tottenham while also stating that a move to Manchester United during the summer window could have happened.
The French International was quoted as saying “I feel very good, “The transfer window does not upset me. I kept a certain distance so I was focused on my preparation with Tottenham. “I am willing to play matches with my club. The interest of Manchester United? There could have been an evolution but there was none in the end. “Although much has been written, I must stay focused.”.
Hugo Lloris was heavily tipped to be David De Gea’s replacement at Manchester United, with the Spaniard rumoured to be closing in on a move to Real Madrid but the deal was thwarted by the late submission of relevant paperwork on the transfer deadline day. A day could however be on the card in January as David De Gea is rumoured to be on his way out of old trafford to Real Madrid in January.
The outcome of the failed De Gea transfer saw both De Gea and Hugo Lloris stay at their respective clubs which should delight their supporters. Presently Lloris has expressed optimism going into the season and has claimed not to be disappointed by the failure of his proposed move to Manchester United. The 28 year old will be focused ahead of the season and will be looking to help Tottenham secure a top 4 finish which they have failed to attain since the 2009/2010 season.
