Jurgen Klopp Suffered Another Major Loss on the Deadline Day

Norwich have beaten Liverpool and Tottenham to the £3.5million signing of Coventry midfielder James Maddison in a last-gasp deadline day swoop.

The Premier League giants (Liverpool) had made enquiries for the young Englishman today but were still weighing options whether to pursue their interest in the summer or just sign him and loan him back to the Midlands club for the reminder of the season.

Norwich have snatched the 19-year-old from the under noses of Tottenham and Liverpool at a late deadline day deal.

Maddison has been bought for a fee worth up to £3,5million and signed a three-and-a-half-year deal before being loaned back to the League One club for the rest of the campaign.

Norwich took it to twitter and wrote:

Another tweet stated: “The highly rated midfielder rejoins @Conventry_City on loan until the end of the season.”

The attacking midfielder has made 12 appearances for the Sky Blues this season impressing with his performances.
