Pedro Set For EPL Move, Chelsea Keen, United Triggered Release Clause

Barcelona attacker, Pedro who was in the fringes last term due to the superb form of super triumvirate: Neymar, Suarez and Messi has come out to confirm that he would be looking to move away from the Catalonia based club if his current situation doesn’t improve.

He is quoted by Sport saying

” I have not spoken with Mourinho but I do not want to say anything else because it would be a lack of respect to my club Barça”.

He has been constantly linked with a move away to Chelsea where he would link up with former team mate and Spain international Cesc Fabregas. He further informed the press that his supposed transfer clause that was around €150 million was reduced to €30 million when he signed a new contract last year.

“Both the club and I decided to reduce the clause and it is  true that there are offers. I’m in a difficult situation at Barcelona”.

His public acceptance of his displeasure at his current situation (significantly reduced playing time) has further hinted that the fleet footed winger will be willing to move.

Spanish paper, Marca have taken this quote and linked him to English Premier League giants Manchester United who are currently overhaulling their playing personnel in order to mount a serious title challenge following their recent decline in perfomance especially after the retirement of Sir Alex Fergusson. This move makes sense for United since they are currently short of quality upfront after the departures of Robin van Persie, Falcao and Nani.
