Arsenal Reach Agreement With 22 Goals In 47 Games Man United & Liverpool Target Ahead Of January Window, Arsenal Finally Serious Transfer Business?

Arsenal have been almost unstoppable since the new league started, and despite having fumbled few times, the Gunners are still serious title contenders. No outfield player was brought in during the last summer transfer window as they only signed Petr Cech. The former Chelsea shot stopper cost only 10 million Pounds. Despite identifying prospective signings, Wenger is keen to hold on to the important members of his team, and the attacking duo of Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez remain in the long-term plans of the French man.

Both have been spectacular so far this season and have added strength and quality to the Gunners attack. The club wants to extend their contracts and offer them improved deals so as to hold on to them for the foreseeable future. Mesut Ozil arrived at the Emirates from Madrid in 2013 and has been an integral part of the team. Currently leading the assist chart all across Europe’s elite leagues with 11 assists, the Germany international has been one of the best attacking players in the EPL, and the team will need him in their title challenge aspirations.

Sanchez has also been a great player this season. The 26 year-old player has 22 goals in 47 league appearances for Arsenal since his arrival last year summer and has continued his splendid form into this season. With 6 League goals already this season, the North London side wants to keep him for much longer and have plans to hand him a 5-year contract extension worth 150 thousand Pounds per week, with a 39 million-Pound release clause.
