Chelsea Ready to Announce 1st January Signing for Brazilian Superstar, Deal Should Be Done Before Monday

Chelsea could possible bring Corinthians forward Alexandre Pato if they can thrash out a deal with his agent during this transfer windows.

This reports have emerged after Corinthians are reportedly trying to convince the Blues to take Pato off their hands because it is believe that the Brazilian’s long flirtation with Premier League has resulted to his questionable future at the club.

Speaking to Telegraph Sport a few weeks ago, Pato said: “I would like to come to England because I think the championship [the Premier League] is the No1 in the world.

“I want to write a new story in Europe, to make a new history. I want to come to win the championship and play again in the Champions League. I have dreams again. I want to create this new story, a good new story.”

This has come out clearly after the Brazilian was left out of the group that went to the United States for pre-season training.

The 26-year-old, who has been linked with Liverpool and Arsenal in the past, is now said to be close to make a move to the Stamford Bridge for around £10 million after his agent Gilmar Veloz flew to London.

Although the Chinese outfit Tianjin Quanjian have reportedly offered him an awesome salary package, Pato will be willing to accept a lower offer to join Chelsea.

Currently, Manchester United and Chelsea are well known to have shown interest in signing the 26-year-old.  Chelsea’s interim manager Guus Hiddink declared a week ago that he feels his side are short of striker, and signing Pato would be a great step to address their problems.
Pato has scored 10 goals while on loan at Sao Paulo in Brazil last season, while his contract with his parent club expires in December.
