Liverpool Predicted Lineup vs. Leicester City & Injury News – Firmino, Milner and Lucas in Starting XI

Liverpool will travel to King Power Stadium to face table toppers Leicester City on Tuesday night. The Foxes are undefeated in their last five league games, but the Reds will take courage from the fact that they are one of the only two teams to have beaten the Foxes this season.

The Reds secured their progress to the final of the League Cup final last week and will be up for the fight during the game.

Team News:

Jurgen Klopp rested most of his squad for the FA Cup draw with West Ham and will play his strongest possible line-up in the game.

The German manager revealed in his press conference today that the likes of Daniel Sturridge, Phillipe Coutinho, Divock Origi and Martin Skrtel are closing towards match fitness but this game will come too soon for them.

Klopp said:”Skrtel needs two or three days more before returning to training. Sturridge should return to training on Wednesday, Origi and Coutinho on Thursday. These are our new signings.”

Predicted Line Up:

Goalkeeper:

Simon Mignolet is the Klopp’s number choice at the moment and he will start.

Defence:

Nathaniel Clyne has cemented his place at right-back while Alberto Moreno will play as a left-back.

Dejan Lovren put in an impressive shift in the FA Cup draw with West Ham and he could partner Mamadou Sakho in the centre of the defence.

Midfield:

Lucas will feature in the defensive midfield role and will shield his defence against the counter-attacking prowess of the Foxes.

Emre Can and Jordan Henderson will play in front of the Brazilian in the Reds’ midfield.

Attack:
Adam Lallana is expected to start on the left wing while James Milner will feature on the opposite flank.

Roberto Firmino will return in his false number nine position.

Predicted Lineup: Mignolet, Clyne, Sakho, Lovren, Moreno, Lucas, Can, Henderson, Lallana, Firmino, Milner
