Manchester United Ready To Outbid PSG For Alexandre Lacazette

In a summer transfer market tussle, Manchester United and Paris Saint Germain will be locking horns over the signature of one of the hottest attacking footballers in Europe, Lyon’s marksman Alexandre Lacazette.

The past season for Manchester United was relatively disappointing after their attacking players Robbin Van Persie, Radamel Falcao and Angel Di Maria failed to live up to expectation following their  impotency in front of goal.

Even after offering Falcao an outrageous wage on a weekly basis, the striker failed to live up to his bidding and it is highly unlikely if he will be offered a permanent deal at Old Trafford. Falcao scored only four goals for United over the course of the entire season.

Meanwhile, Van Persie was mostly sidelined because of injuries and on his return, showed poor performance. He also managed 10 goals in all appearances for Manchester United last season.

Nonetheless, United’s link to Lacazette may just signify that the time for Van Persie might be up at Old Trafford. Should the Red Devils successfully land the prolific French forward, he will walk straight into the ailing attack of United as top choice. And Van Gaal will be left with no choice than to let go off the Dutch captain.

Lacazette scored 27 League goals in 33 appearances for Lyon last season and fired the team into the Champions League spot.

It is believed that PSG are also keen on the player but Manchester United £22 million(€30 million) for the player will be enough to lure him to England over the Parc des Princes based club who were handed spending restriction giving the Financial Fair Play.
