Shocking news: Arsenal plan a sneaky maneuver to steal Chelsea starlet

If there is any truth in this new rumor, Chelsea fans are going to be absolutely gutted about this one. One of the biggest prospects from the famed Chelsea Academy might sign for bitter rivals Arsenal in a shock deal. Dominic Solanke, tipped for huge things at Chelsea looks as though he might want to force a move away in order to secure first-team football.

Some reports are suggesting that the highly rated 18-year-old striker wants a new deal to keep him at Stamford Bridge and £50,000-a-week is what it will take to keep him there. Along with the huge wage, Solanke wants a guarantee from incoming manager, Antonio Conte, that he will get a place in the starting line-up.

Conte probably hasn’t yet seen Solanke in action and if former players are to be believed, Conte doesn’t respond well to those kinds of demands. The Sun reckon Arsenal are ready to swoop for the youngster by offering first team opportunities, although they wouldn’t come close to his wage demands.

Arsene Wenger has more of a reputation with bringing youngsters through the club and he would give Solanke some game-time in the next season. With lots of pressure on Conte already to turn the clubs fortunes around, would he give the youngsters the same chances?
Should Solanke go to Arsenal to improve his own prospects? Or should he stick it out with Chelsea and have faith in their plans for him?
