Chelsea Told To Pay £13m To Sign 5ft 10in, Jose Mourinho Very Keen

The agent of left back, Baba Rahman has said that only £13 million is what it will take to move his client away from Augsburg.

Of all the clubs interested in Baba, Chelsea appear to be the club that is really willing to make a bid. Sascha Empasher, the player’s agent has then stated to the Blues that Baba Rahman will cost £13 million.

Sascha confirmed to LaRoma24 that any interested parties will have to part with £13 million for his client’s services. “Do Augsburg want €18-20m (£13million)? Yes, that can be correct.

Baba Rahman put in a number of excellent performances in the Bundesliga last season for and subsequently emerged as a possible target for European top clubs, who do not want to be named, according to Sascha Empasher.

Chelsea, meanwhile are likely to part with Filipe Luis this summer, as the Brazilian left back wants to leave in search of regular play time.

Luis was limited to only fifteen appearances for the Blues last campaign, as a result of brilliant performances from Cesar Azpilicueta in the left back position.

Blues boss, Jose Mourinho is looking to add to his title-winning team, in order to retain the EPL crown and challenge further in the Champions League next season. Filipe Luis’ likely exit might have, however spurred Mourinho to quickly look to “plug the gap” and earmark Baba Rahman as a possible target.

Signing the Ghana international star may however make Jose return Azpilicueta to his natural right back role.

Meanwhile, Baba has attracted a lot of interest from other Premier League clubs, with Arsenal being the latest to show interest. The likes of Manchester City and Real Madrid are also monitoring the left back’s progress.
