ALMOST DONE – Arsenal To Complete Star Transfer, Medical Ongoing

Arsenal goalkeeper, Wojciech Szczesny appears to be on his way out of the Emirates stadium; howbeit, on a temporary basis, having fallen down the pecking order at the club in recent times. The arrival of World cup revelation, Colombia’s David Ospina was expected to bring out the best in him via close competition; but the reverse eventually was the case, as the Polish international embarked on a poor run of form that saw him concede an average of 1.24 goals per game.

Now, following the arrival of veteran Czech Republic and Petr Cech on an £11 million transfer from Chelsea, the player’s future has been further cast into doubt. The ex-chelsea man boasts a far richer package and experience than Szczesny, or even Ospina, and looks set to take over the number one keeper spot from the Colombian.

As it stands, asides training sessions, it appears that the Szczesny would only stand a chance to play in the event of simultaneous injuries to both keepers: hence, coach Arsene Wenger’s decision to send him on temporary loan move to Italian league side, AS Roma, home of former gunner Gervinho.

It is now expected that the final modalities are concluded soonest, so as for him to join up with the Roma squad, ahead of the new season.
