DONE DEAL – Arsenal COMPLETES Signing Of High Rated Midfielder

Premier league giants Arsenal have completed the signing of highly talented French starlet Ismael Bennacer, he signed a five year deal with the Gunners recently. Reports has it that he was been chased by both the Gunners and Manchester City as well, but he has now confirmed that he has signed for Arsenal. The Mail reported that that the 17-year-old chose Arsenal because they are the “Most French” team in the Premier league, and he also told L’Equipe Arsenal was the only club he would have left French football for, he was also said to have rejected Chelsea in favour of the Gunners, despite been offered more money by the Premier League Champions.

The youngster was believed to be expected to join City’s development squad, however, fortunes favoured the Gunners who took immediate action and were able to iron out a deal and the young starlet is now an Arsenal player. He is expected to initially play for the club’s Under-18, and development squad but a regular role in Arsene Wenger’s squad is his goal.

The 17-year-old joins the arsenal ranks after just a season playing for AC Arles-Avignon in France’s Ligue 2, where he made six appearances for the first team last season.

Speaking to L’Equipe, the young attacking midfielder said the chance to work with Arsene Wenger was vital to his decision to pick the Gunners, having been told by the manager that he has the potential to succeed in North London.

Bennacer joins fellow Frenchman Jeff Reine Adelaide as a new recruit at arsenal, following £10 million pounds acquisition Petr Cech through the Emirate doors.
