Almost Done – Chelsea Set To COMPLETE Transfer Of £80,000-A-Week UCL Winner

Italian giants Juventus are reportedly on the verge of completing their ninth signing of the transfer window in the form of Chelsea midfielder Ramires. Juventus have lost two quality midfielders this summer in the form of Arturo Vidal and veteran Andreas Pirlo. Juventus have already signed midfielders like Roberto Pereyra  from Udinese and Sami Khedira from Real Madrid.

With Sami Khedira expected to be out for a long period of time, it is understood that Juventus will be looking to add another midfielder to their squad before the transfer window closes. Juventus manager Allegri is understood to be after Ramires due to his combativeness and work rate, which was what Vidal brought to the table at Juventus. With the signing of Ramires to replicate Vidal’s abilities at Juventus, the Chilean midfielder will definitely not be missed.

The arrival of Matic and Fabregas to Chelsea saw Ramires drop down in the pecking order for the team. The 28 year has struggled to register a starting berth at Chelsea over the years and is believed to keen on leaving Stamford Bridge. With just two more weeks left in the transfer window it will be advisable for Chelsea to hold out on selling Ramires until a replacement has been lined up for Ramires.

Jose Mourinho has expressed concerns about failing to reinforce his squad in this summer window. Chelsea squad depth was instrumental in trophy triumph last season with each player adequately rested so as to prevent fatigue. Letting go of Ramires will leave Chelsea shorthanded in their midfield options for this season with Chelsea  expected to compete in four competitions. Admittedly Ramires wants to leave Chelsea but he should be allowed to leave only when a replacement for the Brazilian has been found.
