19 Goals 33 Assists Manchester United Target Set To Sign, £50m Bid Accepted

Belgian journalist Kristof Terreur has revealed on his official twitter page that Manchester City have increased their offer for Kevin De Bruyne in order to tempt him away from the Volkswagen Arena.

Terreur has stated that City have increased their bid to £50 million to tempt the Wolfsburg hierachy into letting go of their prized asset. The 24-year old former Chelsea player has grown in leaps and bounds as has become one of the most sought after players in europe after he lit up the German Bundesliga with consistent impressive performances.

His phenomenal season helped Wolfsburg to second place in the league and also bagged him the Bundesliga Player of the Year award last season where he racked up very impressive stats. His superb season saw the Belgian score 19 goals, provide 33 assists for his team mates in 69 appearances. His 91 key passes was not suppassed by anyone in the league too.

The Belgian who is fast earning a reputation as a goal threat outside the box after he scored three league goals outside the box has continued from where he left off last season. The new season began with a surprising DFL-Super cup victory over league champions Bayern Munich where he provided the assist for Nicklas Bendtner’s 89th minute equaliser.

He also converted his own spot kick in the subsequent penalty shootout. He also had his goalscoring boots on in the next game where he scored a goal and provided two assists in a 4-1 victory of Stuttgarter Kickers in the initial round of the DFB-Pokal.
