“Bale Will Be Love At Old Trafford” Claims Former Manchester United Star
Manchester United will be looking at improving on their recent 4th-place finish in the EPL come next season. Challenging Chelsea for the next title will definitely be a priority at Old Trafford, and in preparation for the great task ahead, the Red Devils are in talks with Real Madrid to bring in Gareth Bale from the Bernabeu.
The Madrid faithfuls are said to have turned against the Welsh winger, as they believe he didn’t do enough to help their title aspirations after finishing the past season trophyless. Although Real Madrid could be hesitant about letting him go, but the unrest and the alleged dressing room preference of Ronaldo over him might make him force his way out of Spain.
And with a return to the EPL most likely to happen this Summer, former Manchester United player and club legend, Dwight Yorke will like to see the team sign the speedy winger at all cost. United were amongst the favorite to pick him up from Tottenham back in 2013, but the La Liga giants beat them to it and made Bale the most expensive signing in the history of the game.
Bale arriving at Old Trafford would serve as great plus to the club, as his contributions will no doubt increase their chances of getting the title. Bale rose to prominence while in Tottenham, starting out as a left back before getting converted to a winger due to his unmatched pace, an advantage that made him power his side to a top 4 finish in his time at White Hart lane. His presence in the United squad will definitely make bookies increase United’s odds of winning the League in their books.
Yorke opines that the Wales international should be the top priority of LVG in the summer transfer market, he says of the whole situation,
“I would get Gareth Bale in, that’s what United need, a player who will just take the ball and run. He’s British, he’s exciting, he’s quick, fast, he goes past people and that will lift everyone going forward. That would excite everybody. And he will be loved here, he will be far more appreciated because the people here know what to expect.”
Real Madrid looks keen to hold on to him however, and they continue to reject United’s offers for the 26 year-old. In the possibility of a deal not eventually working out this summer, the chances of Bale donning a United Jersey in the near future isn’t completely ruled off, as they are definitely capable of breaking the bank in order to secure his signature. But it is too early to dismiss a potential transfer, the transfer window remains open for a couple more days.
