Arsenal has signed into their ranks two young prodigies. The London club has been a haven for the nurturing of young talents with Cesc Fabregas, Samir Nasri, Theo Walcott, Jack Wilshere, and recently Coequilin just a few of the players who were nutured by manager Arsene Wenger.
The prodigies 17 year old Jeff Reine Adelaide and 16 year old Yassin Fortune just recently signed with Arsenal, with both players posting pictures of themselves wearing Arsenal shirts. Although no official statement has been released by either Arsenal nor selling club Lens. However French newspaper whilst interviewing the Head of Lens youth football and development Pascal Plancque were able to secure a confirmation albeit unofficial. Quoting the newspaper, Pascal said “ What is frustrating is seeing them sometimes leave quickly before they have time to wear the jersey of Lens at the highest level. See from Jeff Reine Adelaide and Yassin Fortune to Arsenal, it’s not easy”
He also lamented to Lensois about the exodus of talents from the academy “They leave for a big club when there’s still need for training. Arsenal is known for this……”. So there we have it, Arsenal has managed once again to secure bright talents at a young age.
