Luke Shaw Back Manchester United To Launch Title Challenge Courtesy Of New Signing

Following the purchase of several world class players, Manchester United left back Luke Shaw believes the signings can fire them to the Premier League title over a sustained performance.

After the appointment of the Dutch coach Louis Van Gaal, he went on a spending spree for Manchester United but they had a better season than the penultimate season. United ended fourth on the Premier League log and have gone back to the transfer market to bolster their squad with the hopes of conquering England to the Premier League title.

Several players have been added to the rank of the Red Devils this season but among them, there is notably the PSV Eindhoven winger Memphis Depay and the experienced but impressive Bastein Schweinsteiger from Bayern Munich.  Luke has been impressed with the calibre of Van Gaal’s purchase. The England left back said:

“Bastian’s a massive legend,” Shaw said. “For someone with that much experience to come into the team will be vital to help us push for some trophies this season.

“He’s one of the most humble guys I’ve come across. He’s not too loud and he’s quite funny at the same time. It’s nice to have a German around in the dressing room.

“I’ve also got on well with Memphis. He’s a different character. It’s good for the changing room and he’s confident about his own ability. It’s something new to have but it’s very good to have.”

With Manchester United Premier League opener against Tottenham in sight, Van Gaal is yet to decide of he’ll field De Gea in goal for the Red Devils as the player is currently unsettled over speculations linking him with a move to Real Madrid.

Sergio Romero might be given the nod over De Gea – the Argentina international joined the Old Trafford landlords on a free transfer but he is yet to feature for United. After the spending spree of last summer and this, Louis Van Gaal will need to prove his mettle as he might be showed the exit door if the transfer dealings doesn’t not turn to trophies.
