Jose Mourinho Speaks On Chelsea Prospect Of Signing High Rated Midfielder In January

During the international break, Jose Mourinho was spotted in the stadium stands for the Euros 2016 qualifiers between Ukraine and Spain, with speculations that he was in attendance to watch Ukraine international and Dynamo Kyiv’s winger, Andriy Yarmolenko as Chelsea were reportedly interested in luring the player to the Stamford Bridge. The speculations further grew within the past few days when Hazard was dropped on the bench against Aston Villa on weekend, prompting many to believe a move away to Real Madrid could happen after the player liked an instagram link that claimed so.

However, Mourinho discarded reports linking the Kyiv player with a Chelsea move. Speaking to the Press prior to the Champions League match between both teams, the under-fire Portuguese tactician said when asked if he was in Ukraine during the qualifiers to scout Andriy or other potential recruitments,

“Of course I wasn’t looking at  other players. We cannot make a collection of wingers!”

Pointing to the fact that he only went to see his Spanish players in action. And that the present squad cannot accommodate any more wingers. Chelsea had to send Victor Moses, Juan Cuadrado and Mohamed Salah on loan as a result. Eden Hazard, Pedro, Willian and Kenedy are the crop of wingers available at the Stamford Bridge, and their quality is top notch.

Per adventure Chelsea wants to get a winger, they will easily recall either of Moses, Cuadrado or Salah who are on loan. Moses has become a key part of the West Ham lineup since his arrival at the Upton Park, and his contributions have seen the club main an incredible start to the campaign. While Salah and Cuadrado are also enjoying a great time with Roma and Juventus respectively. A winger isn’t Chelsea’s concern.
