Chelsea’s manager post has attracted a lot of names over the past few months. It’s common knowledge that interim manager Guus Hiddink is set to depart from the West London club in the summer, and the club is already looking for his replacement.

Various names including the likes of Diego Simeone, Massimiliano Allegri, Antonio Conte have been linked with the job at Stamford Bridge. Now the latest reports are claiming that the Premier League club have agreed on a deal to bring Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone to the club in summer.

Spanish publication OK Diario claims that the Blues have offered a bumper deal worth £9.28 million-per-season to the Argentine. The report claims that Simeone has accepted the offer on the table and has already informed Atletico hierarchy that he will be moving to Premier League in the summer.

Simone, who enjoyed a playing career at Vicente Calderon, joined Atletico in a managerial capacity in 2011. He has enjoyed tremendous success during his time at the club and has developed into a cult figure for the fans.

He has won five trophies with Atletico since taking charge of the managerial duties. The West Londoners will also be hoping that the arrival of Simeone will convince Diego Costa to stay at the club for foreseeable future.
