10 Goals 11 Assists Star Set To Join Manchester United For £29.1m

Since Chelsea snapped up Pedro from under their noses, Manchester United have been linked with several attacking options as alternative to the Spaniard – who joined Chelsea in a £27m deal.

Sadio Mane of Southampton and Barcelona winger Neymar have emerged as targets and now, as per the Metro, the Red Devils have made a bid of £29.1m plus add-ons for Lazio attacker Felipe Anderson.

Pedro was widely expected to make a switch to Man United this season, but the Red Devils’ reluctance to meet Barcelona’s €30m valuation of the winger gave Chelsea a chance to pounce and hijack the transfer from under their rivals’ noses.

The 20-time Premier League champions have now turned their attention to the Serie A footballer Anderson, after Lazio got knocked out of the Champions League this season. The former Santos star is one of the Italian top division’s most exciting players over the past 12 months and he led Lazio to a third-place finish in the Serie A last season.

The aforementioned source says United had a £18m offer for Anderson rejected by Lazio 12 months ago and, the Brazilian international’s price-tag would have increased significantly over the past few months. United have now returned to Lazio with an improved offer before the transfer window slams shut next week.

Creative, fast, hardworking and intelligent, the winger can play as a No.10 or forward. The 22-year old scored 10 goals and recorded 11 assists to help Stefan Pioli’s side last season.
