£165,000-A-Week World CLASS Chelsea Target Set To Sign For Manchester United
According to reports, Manchester United long-time target, PSG and Uruguay striker Edinson Cavani appears to finally be on his way to the Old Trafford, as part of a swap-deal which would see United winger Angel Di Maria go the other way to Paris.
The speculated deal is believed to be brokered by United’s Chief Negotiations officer, Edward Woodward, who appears to be at his career best these days; after recently overseeing the capture of Southampton man, Morgan Schneiderlin, as well as Bastian Schweinsteiger from Bayern Munich and Torino’s Matteo Darmian- all within the space of three days.
Initial reports indicated that PSG were actually uninterested in selling Cavani, but seem to have reconsidered, upon Woodward’s interference in proceedings. Having gone on their pre-season tour of America, it is believed that the deal for Cavani would most-likely be completed soonest and that the striker would join up with the rest of the United squad in America.
Meanwhile, the Red Devils are in touch with free-agent, Argentina goalkeeper Sergio Romero, as a potential replacement for the want-away David de Gea. Also, a feesh bid in the region of €50 million for Real Madrid defender, Sergio Ramos, looks set to be turned down by the Madrid hierarchy, as reports indicate that they are holding out for more money.
