4-2-3-1: Chelsea predicted lineup against Man City – Costa, Pedro and Oscar in starting XI

It’s great news for Chelsea that Diego Costa has now completed his 3 match ban following his sending off at Goodison Park in the FA cup on the 12th of March. His original 2 match ban was extended to 3 following a charge of improper conduct; however, the Spaniard is now available for selection: Great news for Chelsea fans after their recent loss to Swansea.

Venue: Stamford Bridge

Kick off: 17:30 GMT

Captain John Terry, Loic Remy and Eden Hazard are all still unavailable through injury, however the solid defensive midfielder, Nemanja Matic is back to fitness alongside Gary Cahill.

 Possible starting XI

Courtois

Ivanovic, Cahill, Miazga, Azpilicueta

Fabregas, Matic

Willian, Oscar, Pedro

Costa.

As for Man City, they are currently still without injured captain, Vincent Kompany (calf problem). Winger, Raheem Sterling has returned to training, however, this clash could be too soon for him.

City have started to look more like a team recently. Their success in the Champions League against PSG will have done wonders for their confidence, especially for their wide man, Kevin De Bruyne. If they can get Aguero firing on all cylinders for this fixture, I’m sure there will be goals in this game.

Possible starting XI

Hart

Zabaleta, Otamendi, Mangala, Kolarov

Fernandinho, Fernando

Nasri, Silva, De Bruyne,

Agüero

 Jake’s prediction: 2-1 Man City.
