Almost Done – £150,000-A-Week Star VERY CLOSE To Signing Arsenal Contract

Arsenal have been a major boost heading into the summer transfer window as Winger Theo Walcott is set to extend his stay at the club for the foreseeable future and will look will put pen to paper in the coming days. According to reports, claim the English striker will earn £150,000 a week which will be an improvement on his current wages.

Walcott’s current Arsenal contract is due to expire next year and, although talks were taking place over an extension, the forward’s lack of first-team football since recovering from a long-term knee injury last season has led to doubts over whether he will be willing to commit but all rumours linking the player with a move away will be cooled down as per this latest developments.

Walcott’s performances towards the end of last season showed great promise, and for fans, it’s nice to see the club spending the money required to keep a promising young talent at the club. At 25, Walcott still has not reached his peak. As he continues to mature, he should have his best years ahead of him.

This shows that Arsenal are willing to pay closer to market value for high-profile names, and now, though, it appears Arsenal will have a talented, forward in the squad for years to come. That should be enough to excite most Gooners.

With all that said, this cannot be Arsenal’s only move this summer. Walcott has shown steady improvement, but like the squad as a whole, he has been an inconsistent attacker. Reinforcements are needed if Arsenal are to maintain their challenge for the Premier League, Fa Cup, Champions League and a host of others.

With Walcott reportedly on board, Arsenal and Wenger should now look toward strengthening the squad with new faces. With the clock ticking for the start of the summer transfer window, the club could be set for interesting transfer activities
