Arsenal Set to Sign ‘Next Thierry Henry’ After Club Decided to Sell Him
As Arsenal prepare to face Barcelona in the Round of 16 of Champions League, they have been linked to make a move for another striker. This striker isn’t a well-known name in Europe but has created an impression in England.
Ademola Lookman who plays for Charlton is reportedly wanted by the Gunners and his club is ready to sell him.
The 18-year-old is considered one of the most promising striker in England, who doesn’t play in the Premier League. Arsenal were first linked with him in January but the club wasn’t ready to part ways with him. However, they might eventually give up and sell him in the summer considering interest from various clubs.
According to Daily Mail, Charlton had wanted to keep him but has eventually decided to cash in on him after the season end.
However, reports suggest that Lookman will not be the bargain Wenger might expect. The striker is set to sign a new contract which would most likely increase his transfer fee.
Lookman plays left-footed and can also play on the flanks. This versatile striker is also being monitored by Chelsea and Liverpool. However, when it comes to young talent, Wenger is the first to act.
