Arsenal To Complete Signing Of UCL Winner In January, Chelsea & Man United Lose Out

As things stand it seems Arsene Wenger’s interest in Real Madrid’s midfielder Isco has not dwindled down. The French boss was heavily linked with a move for the Spaniard in the summer transfer window but interest cooled down after some time. However as per reports, the Gunners are determined to land Isco in the winter transfer window.

According to Fichajes, it is understood that Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is still eager to snap up the 23 year old who has been a long term target of the club. However with Euro 2016 lurking around the corner, the Spaniard would prefer remaining at Madrid for a chance of being selected in the Spanish team. Injuries to James Rodriguez and Gareth Bale is bound to open up playing opportunities for the 23 year old unlike having to go and compete with the array of attacking players at Arsenal.

Also, Real Madrid are unlikely to let someone of Isco talents leave the club. The 23 year old could prove to be an important wildcard for Rafa Benitez over the course of the season. The Spaniard’s technical ability and positional versatility is the reason Madrid has not shown him the door yet.

The presence of Isco in the team means that Rafa Benitez has game changer at his disposal and also a back-up to cover for all midfield/wing positions.  Nevertheless, cash could prove be a deciding factor in the transfer of Isco if Arsenal have strong intentions. Undoubtedly Isco will slot right into the Arsenal system perfectly but the purchase of the Spaniard by Arsenal seems more of a luxury than need.
