Bid Accepted, Everton Finds Replacement, John Stones To Have Chelsea Medical

In a deal that may make it possible for Chelsea to finally complete the signing of John Stones, Everton are said to be close to signing River Plate defender Ramiro Fune Mori. According to respected TIMES journalist Tony Barret, Everton hope to complete the signing of Ramiro within 48 hours.

Tony Barret made this claim via his social medial account on twitter when he said;

“@TonyBarretTimes: Everton expect to complete the signing of Ramiro Funes Mori in the next 48 hours after agreeing a £6 million deal with River Plate.”

This is coming two days after reports had claimed Chelsea have had a bid accepted for Stones and that Everton are already sourcing for a replacement. Metro even reported a medical is planned for Monday. Everton had initially rejected three bids, 20 million, 26 million and 30 million, from the blues for John Stones.

Earlier today, it was reported that sources close to the player believe Stones will hand in a transfer request on Monday if Everton continue to refuse to sell but that may not be necessary any more. However, Chelsea could still be beaten to the signing of Stones as Manchester United are also said to be interested in signing him.

However, should Chelsea manage to sign John Stones, they will be getting a quality young centre back worthy of stepping in the soon to be vacant shoes of John Terry.
