Barring any last minute change of mind from either player or club, Radamel Falcao should complete his loan move to Chelsea this week. This comes after the exit of Colombia from the ongoing Copa America tournament. Falcao who endured a horrid season at Manchester United last season scoring 4 goals, in 29 appearances, and he struggled at the Copa America.
Chelsea fans have already voiced their displeasure at his possible signing, but Falcao has his past record working for him. The 29 year old Monaco striker was once a threat to defences in a not too distant past. While turning out for Porto and later Atletico Madrid, Falcao was a deadly striker who was always sure to find the goal.
Chelsea fans of course will never forget his impact in their defeat to Atletico Madrid during the Uefa Super Cup, when Falcao dashed their hopes of winning the cup by scoring a hat trick. His planned move to Chelsea will see him link up with a former teammate Diego Costa and Falcao will be counted on to provide both a deadly partnership with Costa, while serving as a backup in the instance of Costa being injured. And Jose Mourinho has already tasked himself with the responsibility of restoring Falcao to his former self.
