Chelsea Finally Ready to Spend £20m for Powerful Defender, Not John Stones

Chelsea’s hunt for a central defender is ongoing. After being linked with the likes of John Stones and Scott Dann, the Blues have been linked with a move for Valencia defender Aymen Abdennour.

French outlet Foot Mercato claims that the Premier League club are keeping an eye on the Tunisian footballer and could make a move for him if they fail to sign their primary targets.

Abdennour signed for Los Che from Ligue 1 club Monaco on a five-year deal in the summer.

The 26-year old has made 11 league appearances for the La Liga club this season.

The Premier League champions were linked with a move for the player in the summer transfer window also, but nothing materialize back then, and he ended up moving to the Spanish league.
