Chelsea Just Placed Another Bid for Real Madrid and Barcelona Target, Club Eager to Bring him Before Deadline

According to Daily Mail on Sunday, the race for the signatures of Everton defender John Stones is on again.

The report claims four elite European clubs – Chelsea, Man City, Barcelona and Real Madrid- are in involved in the pursuit of the highly-rated defender.

The Toffees, who rejected a £38 million offer from Chelsea in the summer transfer window, have slapped a £50m price tag on the 21-year old. However, Chelsea might have a strong case in the chase of the player as they are set to miss out on Champions League football next season.

The Mail also reported that former Real Madrid manager Rafa Benitez wanted the club to sign the Everton man, and La Liga giants are still interested in the player. Man City, meanwhile, have struggled in the absence of Vincent Kompany this season and could very well be the solution to their problems.

Stones has made 20 league appearances for the Merseysiders this season.
