Chelsea Open Official Talks With £80,000-A-Week World Cup Semi Finalist

Chelsea have opened contract talks with their bushy haired Brazilian superstar Willian. The Chelsea midfielder has been in mercurial form for the Blues this season and the Premier League champions are hoping to reward him with a new deal. Willian has arguably been Chelsea’s best player in their rocky league campaign with the Brazilian being a menace from set-pieces as well as open play, his goals have earned Chelsea some key points this season.

Willian’s current deal is worth around £80,000 a week and is due to expire in 2018. Chelsea are prepared to offer him a new deal which will keep him at the club until 2020 and will take his pay to £100,000 a week. According to Standard, Chelsea have already begun talks with the player and a contract renewal is set to take place.

Chelsea fans will be delighted with the news that their cub is working towards retaining one of their best players. Willian’s compatriots Oscar and Ramires have signed new deals at the club and it seems he is next in line. Willian converted another free-kick against Maccabi Tel-Aviv in the Champions last time out and will look to continue his fine form in the premier league as this weekend approaches.

Chelsea currently sit at 15th place on the Premier League table as a win against Norwich in their last outing put them in a safe place on the league table although they still have a long way to go before they catch up to the current top four in the league.
