Confirmed: Diego Costa Returns to his Home, Striker is Unhappy in England and Will Be Sold

Chelsea striker Diego Costa has been linked with a return to his former club Atletico Madrid, time and time again, over the past few months.

Now, latest reports claim that following the sale of Jackson Martinez to Chinese Super League club Guangzhou Evergrande, Atletico are ready to launch a massive bid to sign their former striker.

Atletico sold Martinez to Guangzhou Evergrande for a staggering £31m in a record transfer in the Asian football history. The Colombian managed to score just three goals during his six-month stay at the club.

The Telegraph are now claiming that Atletico Madrid will use the cash from Martinez sale to launch a bid for Chelsea striker in the summer.

The La Liga club are currently hit with a two-window transfer ban by Fifa over ‘irregularities in the signing of minors’ and have appealed against the verdict.
Any possible deal for Costa will depend on the outcome of the appeal lodged by Atletico.
