Deal Done: Arsenal Have Agreed £23m Fee for World Class Striker
Arsenal have agreed on a £23m fee for highly rated Dynamo Kiev star Andriy Yarmolenko, according to reports.
Ukrainian news outlet Sport claims that the Gunners have won the pursuit for the forward ahead of the fellow Premier League club Everton.
However, the player will stay at Dynamo Kiev for the rest of the season and will move to Emirates Stadium in the summer.
The news is a blow to Everton, who were once considered favourites to sign the 26-year old.
Yarmolenko’s agent Vadim Shabily was seen meeting Toffees manager Roberto Martinez at Goodison Park recently.
The Ukrainian international recently signed a new five-year contract, but Dynamo chief Sergei Rebrov recently admitted that his future at the club is far from certain.
Earlier this month, Rebrov said: “I can see his progress and that other teams are interested in him, but it all depends on his relationship with the president. If you are asking me then I don’t want to sell the player, I want to keep him in the team.
“But, at the end of the day, it’s all about the relationship with the president.”
Yarmolenko has progressed through Dynamo’s youth academy and has scored 76 goals in 187 appearances for his club.
