Guardiola Official Statement

Guardiola wants to take over Arsenal, official statement to be released, Man Utd and Chelsea to lose out

Arsenal are the latest club to have been linked with Bayern Munich manager Pep Guardiola. According to Daily Mail, the Gunners have emerged as the favourites to sign the former Barcelona man.

The report states that Guardiola is particularly interested in the job at Emirates Stadium and wants to take over from Arsene Wenger when the Frenchman finally retires from his position at the North London club.

Wenger’s current contract expires in 2017 and Guardiola is reportedly ready to wait and take a 12-month sabbatical in order to land the job at Emirates Stadium. However, it’s still unclear whether Wenger would be interested in signing a contract extension with the Gunners.

Other Premier League clubs Man Utd, Man City and Chelsea are also interested in Guardiola’s services, but the Spaniard would be interested in the job at the North London club as his philosophy matches with that of Arsenal’s.

The Spaniard last week declared that he will be making an announcement on his future this week.
