“I do not listen to what he says” Wenger blasts Arsenal fans favorite

Following former Arsenal star striker Thierry Henry’s comments about Alexis Sanchez injury, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has been confronted and has answered comments about his management criticism by the former Arsenal star. Arsene Wenger clearly stated that he does not even listen to the player anymore as the former striker has become a pundit for Sky Sports since he retired from active football playing and has been ready to criticize any club he talks about, including his former club Arsenal.

In his latest comments about Arsenal, Henry clearly blamed Arsenal for overworking their super winger Alexis Sanchez, who was injured in Sunday’s 1-1 draw with Norwich City in their English Premier League encounter. When Wenger was confronted by French Daily La Parisien about whether the comments annoyed him, he said, “Not at all! That is the job of a pundit. He needs to say something. Personally, I do not listen to what he says.”

Wenger was also asked about whether he would be open to coaching another club when his contract runs out at Arsenal and he said, “It seems to me that it would be difficult, I am 66. I still have a year and a half left on my contract; I will see what happens after. One small step after the other, it is more like that, the way I operate at the moment.” It remains to be seen though if this is truly the case and if he will decide to extend his contract at the Emirates.
