Javier Hernandez Signs For Bayer Leverkusen, Januzaj Joins Dortmund On Loan

The close of the transfer market beaconing, Louis Van Gaal is clearing out the players’ surpluses to his squad. Report making the rounds reveals that Javier Hernandez has completed a £7.3 million move to Bayer Leverkusen .

Chicharito, 27, was sent on loan to the Los Blancos last season but returned to Manchester United this summer and was deemed surplus to Van Gaal’s requirement, hence, he agreed a three-year deal with the Bundesliga outfit just in time before the close of the transfer window.

Chicharito have had a mix of ups and downs at United. Since his acquisition from Chivas in 2010, he has never been played regularly as a striker for United. He’s scored 59 goals in 156 appearances for Manchester United.

The manager of Bayer Leverkusen was delighted when the deal for Chicharito was complete, particularly as the player adds more fire power to the team as they compete in the Champions League.

The club’s general manager Michael Schade said of Chicharito: “After we finally secured our place in the Champions League, we wanted to send out a clear signal with our attack, and we’ve succeeded in doing this with Javier Hernandez.”

Meanwhile, Januzaj has joined Borrussia Dortmund on a season-long loan deal  as confirmed by the club on Monday. The 20-year-old has made 47 appearances for Manchester United in the Premier League.

The Deal for Januzaj by the Red Devils might just be a coup to get Marco Reus, who has been on the radar of Manchester United. After the sale of Di Maria, United have failed the secure any replacement for the departed player. It is being speculated in United will opt for a swoop deal with with Januzaj upon the expiration of his loan spell.
