Manchester United Gets POSITIVE Injury News FINALLY

Phil Jones has returned to the Carrignton training ground and according to reports from Express.co.uk, might make a surprise return against Everton. This development will provide the much needed boost for United’s defense as they were forced to call up 19 year old reserve team defender McNair in their last match. With Blacklet still sitting out his ban after the red card he picked against Liecester City.

Jones had been sidelined for about two weeks after picking up an injury while playing for the Three Lions in their Euro 2016 qualifying game against Switzerland and if the reports making waves are true, then the former Blackburn man could make his return by the weekend. The medical team had ruled him out for about one month but the Centre Back appears to have beat the odds to resume a week earlier.

However, United fans will still have to bid their time as Roy Hodgson is expected to name Jones as part of his squad against San Marino and especially Estonia on Thursday should he be assured of Jones’s fitness. For as long as Phil remains fit, Van Gaal’s options will be improved as he will be able to field a better defense line on Sunday. A defense line comprising Rojo and Jones as Center Backs and Rafael and Shaw maintaining the right and left wings respectively will give the United manager some peace of mind.

Manchester United will also enjoy the presence of about four great markers in Rojo, Jones, Blind and Herrera. As Mata is expected to fill in for suspended captain Wayne Rooney, the team will be missing the work rate he usually supplies and as such cannot afford to have a shaky defense. If Jones puts up a brilliant display, he may help United to another clean sheet as they hope to build up on their victory against the Hammers.
