Manchester United Transfer Round Up – Cavani, De Gea & Berahino

Manchester United last deals of the transfer window will determine whether the Red Devils have had a good transfer window or bad transfer window. The Red Devils had a good start to their transfer window signing the likes of Darmian(who has been excellent so far) as well as Depay , Schweinsteiger , Schneirderlin. However towards the closing stages of the window, the Red Devils have failed to strengthen the areas lacking in the team and are still poised to lose De Gea. The last three potential transfers expected to be completed this week holds the answer to the above question.

To start the list is Spaniard David De Gea’s transfer saga. The David De Gea transfer saga could be ranked among the most-dragged transfer sagas of all time. Manchester United are believed to be holding out on a 40 million pounds fee for the Spaniard which Real Madrid are unwilling to meet. The refusal of Manchester United to sell David De Gea has led to the strain in relationship between Van Gaal and De Gea. However, Jorges Mendes has been called into the situation to help resolve the matter once for all before the window closes. This saga has all the makings to have an epic twist in the end.

It is of no surprise that Manchester United are in the market to bolster their attacking options ahead of the season. However what is surprising is the emergence of West Brom’s striker Saido Berahino as a target for Manchester United. Manchester United are poised to make a move for the Tottenham target before the transfer window closes. Tottenham have already had a 18 million pounds bid rejected for the 22 year old who is valued at 22 million pounds but Manchester United’s financial power could see them hijack the bid at the last minute.

Lastly, rumours of Edison Cavani moving to Old Trafford has re-emerged at the closing stage of the transfer window. The 28 year old was initially tagged as a replacement for Van Persie but unfortunately a move did not materialise. However with Manchester United keen on reinforcing their attack, a last minute move for the Uruguayan could be on cards. Cavani’s goal scoring record is largely impressive and the Uruguayan would definitely get the right service he needs to excel at United.
