As expected, Liverpool are going to be bullish in the transfer market when it comes alive in January and Norwegian legend and former Sky Sport pundit Jan Aage Fjortoft believes Jurgeb Klopp will attempt to sign Schalke attacker Leroy Sane.
The 19-year-old has easily become the revelation of the Bundesliga this term and has drawn attraction from several Premier League clubs including Arsenal.
Fjortoft is known to have indepth knowledge and is privy to transfer information has revealed that the Jurgen Klopp led Reds will be frontrunners for the players signature. He twitted that:
“I expect Liverpool and Klopp go “big time” for Schalke-striker Leroy Sane.”
The versatile attacker starter his career as a youngster with Schalke but was loaned for three years to Bayern Leverkusen before he returned. He has penned a professional contract with the Bundesliga outfit until 2017.
Liverpool attempted to sign the youngster in the summer transfer window but the player opted to remain in Germany, reports the Daily Mail.
As typical with a new manager, Jurgen Klopp is expected to bolster his heavily inflicted injury side. Danny Ings, Daniel Sturridge and host of Liverpool players are either recovering from injury or still injured.
Meanwhile, Liverpool lost to Crystal Palace in the Premier league last Sunday but they will be looking to bounce back after the international break.
