1st January signing announced as Chelsea signs 18-year-old talented striker, beats Arsenal and Man City

In some good news for the Blues fans, Chelsea are nearing to complete a deal for the Charlton Athletic wonder kid Ademola Lookman. Talented striker scored 3 goals in 7 matches this season.

The 18-year-old has been linked with the likes of Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal and Manchester City recently by Daily Star. But if the Sun’s recent claims are to be believed, Chelsea have stolen a march on their competitors for the signatures of the starlet. This signing will help improve the Blues’ homegrown quota.

According to the report, club ‘insiders’ have already confirmed that a move is already in the pipelines for the Nigerian teenager. Sun claims that Southampton are also interested in the prodigious star, but they are not expected to match the buying power of the London club.

Lookman has already made a handful of appearances for the Addicks. He joined the Championship club from Waterloo FC in 2014.
