Jose Mourinho is set it replace Louis Van Gaal at Old Trafford. The Dutch man has a single year remaining on his contract and it appears the Red Devils have lost all patients with him.

His successor, Jose Mourinho has reportedly agreed a deal in principle with the Red Devils although no official documents have been signed with the club as of yet. Louis Van Gaal is highly unlikely to remain with United having fallen out of favour with the fans.

However, he must be given some credit for allowing youth players a chance to play, more recently Marcus Rashford has burst into the scene and has been key to their bid for a top 4 finish. Van Gaal’s style of player has been highly criticized as being alien to United’s attacking philosophy.

Jose Mourinho will reportedly become the highest paid manager in world football with a whopping £60 million deal over three years being arranged with Ed Woodward. The two have been in contact since Mourinho was sacked by Chelsea in December and United were unable to get the train moving.

This sum will be higher than that of any United player and the highest for a manger in football history. United will hope their faith in Mourinho having struggled to find a suitable manger since Sir Alex Ferguson.

Jose Mourinho brings a high – level of tactical knowledge to the game. Mourinho makes moves to his side that makes them adaptable to different situations and that help reap the benefits.

He is well aware of the opposition he faces as well as the strengths and weaknesses of his own side and can then pick a line – up capable of getting a desirable result. Mourinho believes in midfield superiority especially with a defensive midfielder hence plays with a diamond in midfielders or more given the occasion. Mourinho is a manger able to react quickly to a danger his sides may find themselves in and makes the necessary changes well within time.

Such knowledge of the game is formidable and it no wonder United are chasing the Portuguese mangers.

Jose Mourinho has been highly missed in the Premier League. Whether his return will be a pleasant or end in catastrophe remains to be seen.  Mourinho will be hoping that his return to the Premier league is successful as his reputation is on the line as his suitability is recently being questioned.
