Manchester City are keen to wrap up a £40m deal for Liverpool striker Luis Suarez. Brendan Rodgers claimed that Suarez was happy at Liverpool “at the moment” but hinted that unless the club improve their results, he might be tempted with a move elsewhere.

Liverpool are currently 13th in the league, possess a negative goal difference and are just three points away from 17th placed Aston Villa. Suarez has scored 8 of Liverpool’s 14 goals this season and couldn’t be blamed if he was keen to move to a club that could match his ability.
