Shock – Real Madrid Agree to £100m deal for Gareth Bale including David de Gea

Man Utd goalkeeper David De Gea has pledged his commitment to the Premier League club. Daily Telegraph has reported that the Spanish goalkeeper has indicated to United that he intends to stay at the club despite strong interest from La Liga giants Real Madrid in his services.

The Spaniard, along with Keylor Navas, was a part of a controversial swap deal which collapsed on the transfer deadline day, between the two clubs.

In September, he signed a four-year contract extension with the Red Devils, but continued to be linked with a move to Real Madrid. However, he has now made it clear that his long-term future lies with United and he is not considering a move back to Spain.

Real Madrid have recently been slapped with a transfer ban by FIFA, and this has led to the speculation that they might try to sign the former Atletico Madrid goalkeeper in January.

However, Express’ chief sports correspondent Jim Holden has claimed on BT Sport that Real Madrid might try to convince United into selling David De Gea in January by offering Gareth Bale in a swap deal.
