Spanish media: Man Utd to pay whatever it takes to sign Griezmann this summer

It is fairly clear who is the hottest property in Europe right now, as the clubs with the cash to spend are lining up to see if they can lure the flying Frenchman, Antoine Griezmann, away from Atletico. Griezmann’s career has really taken off since the last World Cup and he is rated as one of the top talents in Europe right now.

El Confidencial, the Spanish news agency responsible for many a rumor in Spain and across the continent, believe that Manchester United will pay whatever it takes to secure his service and that figure could end up being astronomical at the minute.

A fee of 80 million is being touted as the figure that will get Atletico to talk, with wages for the French international set to rival that of current top earner, Wayne Rooney.

Is Griezmann worth the money? Right now, Griezmann is as good as Gareth Bale, Leo Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. He is as vital to Atletico as those players are to Real and Barca, meaning that if Manchester United, or Chelsea for that matter, really want to sign the player, they are going to have to pay big to get him.
It is also being considered that this is the year of the Euro’s, and any player that does extremely well at this competition might become just that little bit more expensive.
