Manchester United To ANNOUNCE Defender Signing On Monday – Not Matteo Darmian

Exciting times are here for all Manchester United fans as the club is set to announce a trio of signings in the next few days.

After securing the services of Matteo Darmian from Torino, the club is set former EPL champions are set to announce the signing of highly rated Argentine defender, Nicolas Otamendi, according to respected Spanish journalist Roberto Bonafont.

Otamendi, who plays in the La Liga for Valencia, is one of the most highly rated defenders in Europe at the moment. He has been linked with a move to a couple of clubs in Europe this window, including Real Madrid. The report, if true, could indicate an exciting 2015/2016 season ahead for the Red Devils, who have already signed Memphis Depay from Dutch side, Feyenoord in April.

Bonafont confirmed various stories making the rounds that Spanish giants, Real Madrid have pulled out of the race to sign the player this summer. The player’s club, Valencia, are however, reluctant to let the Argentine international centre-back leave for any fee lower than his release clause, which is put at £50 million.

It is still not known if United have met the player’s buyout clause or if both clubs have reached an official agreement, but this transfer is set to gather pace in the next couple of days, considering the fact the Red Devils are about now speeding up the process of concluding deals for some of the players they have been scouting in the last couple of months.
