Star Says Goodbye Team Mates, Set For Manchester United Medical, Fee Agreed

The Red Devils are set to complete a swoop for Benfica attacking midfielder Nicolas Gaitan and just as Portuguese newspaper A Bola say per Sport Witness, Gaitan has had yet another goodbye match on Monday, and he got kicked around a bit.

The pacey forward was left hurt after the match against Sporting Lisbon on Sunday, although that should not hinder his prospect of a move to Old Trafford. Some may actually believe it may harm the prospect, but A Bola and other Portuguese media outlets are flying the flag stout-heartedly.

A Bola reckon Gaitan’s goodbye to Benfica would ensure he replace his compatriot Angel Di Maria at a club, just like he did when he joined the Portuguese champions. Reports have verified that Manchester United want Gaitan and have agreed a fee to sign the Argentine since July.

It is understood Manchester United will sign Benfica attacker Nicolas Gaitan if Angel Di Maria joins Paris Saint-Germain. With the former Real Madrid winger now a player of the French Ligue 1 champions, the Red Devils are now sure of completing Gaitan’s transfer.

Reports emanating from British sources have claimed Benfica forward Nicolas Gaitan will play his last game for the Portuguese outfit on Sunday ahead of a move to Old Trafford this summer.

United, as per Metro, will sign Gaitan for £21.1m, and the former Boca Juniors ace is set to fly in to Manchester this to complete the move if the report is true. Furthermore, the Benfica ace has also told his club and his acquaintances that he fancies playing for the Red Devils.

If Gaitan finally joins the Red Devils, it will end the rumours of a transfer which is supposed to have happened in previous seasons.

However, if claims in the past are going to be considered there is always going to be a big uncertainty about the truth of the Gaitan to United transfer.
