How Chelsea Will Line Up With Pedro And Rahman Baba

Chelsea fans were in ecstatic mood yesterday as the Blues announced the capture of Pedro from Barcelona, sensationally gazumping Manchester United.

The Old Trafford club were unwilling to match Barcelona’s asking price of €30m and Chelsea took advantage of that and Jose Mourinho known for his utmost decisiveness when it comes to transfers made a phone call to convince the Spaniard, coupled with Cesc Fabregas’ talks to Pedro.

However, the 28-year old winger’s arrival could mean a new role in the team for the energetic Willian. If you ask most Chelsea fans about their view on Pedro’s arrival, they would respond with ‘Pedro will guarantee goals which Willian does not’, while also recognising the immense contribution of the Brazilian to the Blues team.

The belief is that Willian will not be dropped by Jose Mourinho, but it could mean a new role for the former Shakhtar Donetsk attacker. Jose is a huge fan of Willian – who is undoubtedly the Chelsea player with the highest work rate – hence, to accom, odate Pedro the Brazilian could be moved to the left wing of the attack with the Spaniard on the right. This will mean Hazard goes on to operate behind the striker – Diego Costa, as expected.

Pace is very important for an attacker in the Premier League, and both Willian and Pedro have in that abundant speed – which Mourinho would need.

Having said that, Oscar could be dropped for Hazard to occupy the number 10 role, and Willian and Pedro on either flanks.
