Firmino To Get His First Start, Liverpool’s Line Up For Arsenal Revealed

Its 36 matches to go for the Reds as Brenda Rodger is set to hand his new acquisition Roberto Firmino a start in their Premier League clash against perennial rival Arsenal this night, as per the Guardian.

The versatile midfielder has so far started from the bench in the top flight for the Reds two Premier League wins. Brenda Rodgers believes the player will gradually bed into his team as his rebuilding efforts have started yielding fruits.

In the Red’s second Premier League match against Bournemouth, Firmino came off the bench and his presence was instantly felt, he made tow tackles in 20 minutes in a match dominated by Liverpool. He is likely to replace Lallana on the left wing following the former Saint skipper’s poor performances this season.

The former Hoffenheim player created 69 goal scoring opportunities for his club last term, and Brenda Rodgers will be expecting that the 23-year-old Brazilian will replicate same form for the Reds as they have only scored two goals this season.

The Reds boss is expected to retain the same side that got the better of Bournemouth bar Firmino. Although, Henderson came off the pitch with a calf injury in the second half of their previous match, he will start tonight’s match if he passes a fitness test.

The expected line up is thus:

Goalkeeper: Mignolet

Defense: Gomez, Lovren, Skrtel, Clyne

Midfield: Henderson, Milner, Coutinho

Attack: Firmino, Benteke and Ibe
