Loius Van Gaal Sack

Louis Van Gaal is one defeat away from sacking – Man Utd board decided

Reports from Old Trafford have indicated that Louis Van Gaal could lose his job before the season has even finished if Manchester United lose at West Ham in the key FA Cup clash this evening.

In a roller-coaster season, Van Gaal has been perilously clinging to his job as results have gone from good to bad and then back again. He has already offered to resign, back in December after a poor showing in the 2-0 loss to Stoke.

They were then dumped out of Europe, twice, having fallen at the group Stage in the Champions League and losing to Liverpool in the Europa Cup. They sit 5th in the League with a slim chance of Champions League football next season but the state of play is not what Manchester United fans are expecting.

Former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is a hot favourite to take the reins and the fans seem to be excited about the serial winner taking over but Ed Woodward, the Executive Vice Chairman, wants to give Van Gaal every chance to succeed as it was Woodward that was instrumental in Van Gaal’s appointment.

Defeat at West Ham however, could spell the end of Van Gaal’s term in charge of the Red Devils as it would certainly mean another trophy-less year for the club that won so much with Sir Alex Ferguson.

Beating West Ham is not going to be an easy task for a side that has struggled with consistency and against a West Ham side that are certainly performing above any Hammer’s fans expectations this season.
