Chelsea star Eden Hazard is reportedly a primary transfer target for Real Madrid. Las Blancos are expected to attempt to sign the Belgian playmaker in the next transfer window and if the latest reports are to be believed they have already started negotiations with the West London club for their most valuable asset.
Journalist Eduardo Inda has claimed on Spanish TV show El Chiringuito de Jugones that negotiations between the two clubs over the transfer of Hazard are already at an advanced stage.
However, the transfer fee mentioned in the report is surprisingly low. Inda claims that Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has decided to sell for a cut-price fee of just £20million due to his poor performances this season.
The Belgian playmaker has suffered a terrible loss of form this season and has failed to score a league goal.
He recently revealed that he apologized about his poor form to former manager Jose Mourinho when he was sacked by the club in December.
“I sent him [Mourinho] the message to say I was sorry he had gone and… well… just that I was sorry,” he told the Guardian.
“We’d enjoyed all that success together last season, but, this time, round we hadn’t. I felt a little bit guilty because I’d been player of the year.
“I’d been one of the most decisive players, and this year I’d performed less well.”
