Ahead Of January Window, Liverpool Step Up Pursuit Of La Liga Star – Not Isco

After recently failing to secure 2 La Liga imports in Luis Alberto and Iago Aspas to Anfield, Liverpool will once again be trying their hands on one more, Dani Ceballos. The 19 year-old Real Betis central midfielder has seen his stocks rise in the Spanish League after he broke into the team’s starting 11 just last year, and he is now being dubbed one of the best youngsters in the country at the moment. Ceballos has completed 86% of his passes this season already, and continues to impress for his side.

His recent brilliant performances has also seen him attract interests from the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea, and it is reported that both clubs have sent scouts to Spain to watch him play in the Liga. Ceballos who started his career with Sevilla has increased in quality after joining Betis in 2011, having spent 5 years with Sevilla. He has made 37 appearances for Real Betis after gaining promotion to the senior team from the youth ranks in April of last year.

Liverpool could get their hands on the teenager soon as his current contract with the side ends at the end of the season. But Betis aren’t keen on letting go of one of their most-prized possessions, and could offer him a new and improved deal. Provided he then decides to head to Anfield, Liverpool will only pay a small compensation fee in transfer fees. The Reds continue to look for more quality additions to their squad following the departures of Sterling and Suarez in recent seasons. Provided a move for Dani Ceballos falls through, Liverpool’s fans wont be bemused with their ill-luck with getting La Liga players.
