We all expected Manchester United to feature prominently towards the closing stages of the transfer window and the Red Devils have surely been living up to that expectation. The Red Devils have been making a lot of contact and enquiries in the last 24 hours and it is reported that the latest enquiry to be made by the Red Devils is for Atheltico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann.
Antoine Griezmann has been a United target for quite some time now due to high impossibility of landing other targets like Neymar, Bale and Muller. Despite spending just one year at the club, the French winger has gone on to become one of Atletico Madrid’s key players last season. Griezmann was the club’s highest goal scorer last season bagging a total of 22 goals, with a conversion rate of 32.8%.
The Frenchman has not failed to get off the mark for Atletico Madrid this season, having scored a goal in 2 matches. Wayne Rooney’s failure to score against Swansea takes his goal drought in the Premier League to 11 games which should start to be worrying for Manchester United manager Louis Van Gaal.
Manchester United as they have been this season, struggled to convert chances against Swansea and at this point in time it is glaring that Manchester United need to bolster their attacking options ahead of the season, if not the consequences could be disastrous.
